Sandra,
I took your advice to check out your portfolio. Of course, the longer ones may get a read from me but rarely a review. I have no real poetry skill set to comment on your prose.
Of course, 20 syllable poems are a length fitted more to my style.(-;
I would have used quench instead of drown your hope to rhyme of sorts with drenching deluge (I do like alliteration in my poems !).
Mark
P.S. I am not a fan of cutesy fonts. IMHO script-like ones are difficult to read. Other FanStorians may or may not agree with me. I prefer KISS for my text choices.

Sandra,
This is a nicely used metaphor to inspire and encourage the reader to haver strength to live through their problems. Hope is always there to keep you believing in good times returning.
Congrats for placing third in the contest.

Once again, such uplifting strength and support through so few words. I cannot wait to check out your book on Amazon. I cannot wait to support you in this way. The world needs to read your writing. You are a rare and beautiful human being!

These short poems are tough to write, but I really like this one. You stay with one theme and remind the reader that we have the power over our decisions and lives.
Like the active image of lightning.
Good luck with this contest.

I like the picture that you have chosen for your poem, and your admonition to never lose hope. Hope is what keeps us going, knowing that no matter how bad the storm, morning will come

Ms. Gypsy,
Thank you for your kind comments. Blue is my favorite color too. I have a royal blue kitchen, dining room and study. The study has a large peacock rug. Lol I am flamboyant here but more flamboyant in my private space. LOL Thanks for your review!
-
I would love to have a royal blue house (*<>*) hehehe ... all the rooms!
sounds wonderful

Not all but 4 rooms and the basement family room. LOL I live alone so I can do what I like. LOL
Have a blessed weekend my Gypsy friend!

I do not have anything constructive to say. I don't want to waste your time, but I just wanted to let you know that I loved your poem and the visual. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Some of the strongest, happiest, most peaceful people I know are those who have been through the most! Your poem is like a tribute to people like them. Excellent, descriptive poem

Thank God I've never lost hope, even when I was betrayed, I was downcast, but knew the sun would dawn. When one loses hope, he loses his inheritance, so good advice dear friend, well done, blessings Roy
