We fight wars for freedom. Liberty flows in our veins and nestles in our marrow. And yet was it not "free will" that set us asunder and brought us face to face with sin? It's a conundrum I've often pondered. I'm hopeful that one day I will understand why such a loving God gave such imperfect beings the ability to mess things up. Ah. One day it will all make sense. I lean back into those fruit trees as well.
What a journey you're taking me on!

Hi Jim,
This is a nicely rhyme rendition of what happened in the Garden of Eden
to bring free will and the option to believe or not to believe. I like the discerning and philosophical feel to this poem.

This poem, Seasons of Mind I, makes the reader think that the history of the fall of man did not necessarily have to be a one-off event. Perhaps mankind could blow it again.

Bill, if we keep pushing it, for example lie, something being a good thing that turns out to be a bed thing like AI for example, yep! We could screw it all up again.

I belive knowledge in itself is not bad, the problem is how people use it. People from the beginning wanted the freedom to make their own choices in with that came the end of immortality and banished from paradise.

Paul, I could not agree more fully! Come on, we Know that anything man can and does create has the potential for mass destruction so why not to that list AI. We will never learn it seems.
