How very sad this poem is, full of memories of someone who lost their way in life. A very touching post filled with grief for someone lost, your message was delivered with skill, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

    This one had a very personal feel, I've recently lost a former friend to addictions. He couldn't straighten out his life, even with help of family and friends. He was my age mid-fifties but looked decades older. Walking my old dog and thinking of him inspired this poem.

I like your comparison of the old house, your dog, etc. to describe your grief for the subject of this poem.

    Thank you for your positive review of my poem. I mostly write fiction prose. This was a departure for me, perhaps I should write more poetry. This one has gotten tremendous feedback, including yours, so thanks again.

This is am excellent poem and your nite helps to explain it's full meaning. Thank you for sharing this. One suggestion is to make the font a bit lighter colored. I had some trouble reading the words.

I thought this was well done. I especially liked the last line. Your writing captures raw emotions with honesty and clarity. It's impossible for your writing to not resonate deeply with anyone who has experienced loss or emotional turmoil. Thank you for sharing such heartfelt words.
