Carol I am catching up on the story, and don't bother writing a review every time. Only if I see something that might need fixing. I saw a set of quotation marks back to back in one paragraph spoken by the same speaker...copied here: you." "I've got

Appreciate the review. I don't get as many anymore...People leaving the site or else preferring to review the poetry. Every line or two helps...I'll check it out...Thanks

Well I caught up to you. I only reviewed the ones that had something that might have needed a fix. Carol, it is a great story. Frankly, I am tired of poetry. I have not been bothering to review poems anymore because I prefer your type of writing. You are a gifted writer, I would buy your stories. Indeed, I am reading a book right now that is not as well written as thing story. I think people are just busier in the summer (like I am) and are not bothering with fan story.

I like the way Eleanor appears into and disappears from people and conversations. She's a fun character. Angelo's reaction at seeing her fade out is great. Enjoyed this chapter. Have a blessed week. Carol

Thanks Carol. Hope you and Mitch are doing okay. As for Eleanor, I love her. She uses her abilities to the utmost capacity. And enjoys herself while she's at it. Thanks so much.

Well, I guess Eleanor had to get involved as Angelo didn't know how much help he really needs. I think he doesn't seem like a particularly good private investigator. Eleanor can do better.
It's interesting the the ghosts give off a chill and then so do the bad guys.
Question:
Dylan - Eleanor's nephew and art curator (Charles' nephew, right? Did Charles and Eleanor get married?)

Yes, Dylan was flying through so I could get Eleanor to the airport to see what was going on with Angelo and Jose. Angelo has had a crooked side to him, but I think Eleanor may set him straight.

Hi Carol, you do know to put layer on layer on to a story. I absolutely love it, and Eleanor is at her best here. Now, I'm curious what they're all up to. Now onto the next chapter. Hugs, Ulla xxx

You are so adept at layering facets of the plot on top of other layers! Good for you for leaving us with a "must read" the next chapter vibe. I'm totally on board with this ability of Eleanor (my favorite ghost/detective ever)--to pick up on the "evil" vibes of humans. What a creative twist on the earthly humans sensing she's around!

I'm getting more emotionally involved with each chapter!

Hey, sweet girl...where you been? I was starting to get worried. Eleanor is totally a different type of ghost compared to Danni. Danni is young and spicy...Eleanor uses her wits.
Love them both but of course I'm partial to Eleanor.

Eleanor has such a cool way of finding things out. Every detective needs an Eleanor. Unfortunately, so does Angelo. His son seems to be getting into something that could get him arrested or killed by the bad guys.

Yes, we all could use an Eleanor now and then...Angelo will have to decide which side he is playing on though because Eleanor doesn't play games.

Your story is getting more interesting as it proceeds. Eleanor is the character who holds my attention. I still have a problem getting into this story as much as the previous ones. However, I intend to stick with you to the end.

Hello, April...Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to my reviews. Mike's anniversary (5 years) was FRiday and I wasn't expecting it to hit me so hard...Duh! Why not?

I am thrilled that Eleanor is holding your attention and that you are willing to stick it out. I hope you find it a interesting as the other one. thank you so much.

This work has reached the exceptional level

BOO is back! Time to read some prose. The runway lights twinkled below like scattered diamonds against the inky night. Good description. Reminds me of diamond dust ice crystals.

"Me? Play detective?" She grinned. "I assure you I only came to check on Danni and Jenna, not to get involved in any crime."

"You say that, but I know you enjoyed your last caper." She did enjoy her last caper. Eleanor can sense feelings by making contact with someone? Like a Medium. Reading on...The closer she got, the more she felt the cold, creeping sensation of something sinister. The air pulsed with a dark, almost evil energy. She could sense the undercurrents of deceit and betrayal in their presence, a twisted knot of intentions that made her spectral form shiver. That paragraph is deep stuff. Good job!

Reading..."So, that's why you contacted me, to get these papers from Naomi." Jose nodded and glanced around the table. "I could do that, but tell me, what's in it for me?"

"Not here. My office -- tomorrow night at nine p.m." A cliff hanger that leaves the reader in suspense. Well written as usual.
Oh, got a nugget left!

BOO!

Plots galore going on, and despite being Jose is in a very uncomfortable place apart from his usual playboy easy life, at which he cannot get out of it, unless something awry will happen, and of course our ghostly spectre Eleanor being involved, well done, blessings Roy

Eleanor's going to make it uncomfortable for Jose and he just might hurry back to Mexico...if he can. He's trying to play in the big league now and he doesn't have the brains like his dad.

You always introduce new elements, characters, twists and turns, along with surprises. Dylan made a cameo appearance, but that was just to have a reason for Eleanor to be at the airport just in time to run into Angelo. Jose asked the question for me. What papers? I'll wait and see.

All I can say is that Bennett was into many things other than blackmailing Naomi to keep Jose's secret....and theirs. It will come to light soon. Thanks for reading and for trying to figure things out...
