That is exactly how I feel when football season starts. I like to make some chicken wings and when I'm feeling crazy I fix nacho, chili and cheese. Great haiku poem for the contest.

LOL! I have a like-hate relationship with Da Bears. As a do-or-die Packer fan, the Bears still suck and we own you--but--as a root-for-the-underdog person, I kinda like them and was impressed with their pre-season undefeated play. We shall see!

I understand. I grew up with the Bears. We lived a few hours from Chicago. I do remember when they were good, and the Packer/Bear game was not to be missed. LOL I have a feeling the owners are more interested in money than having a decent team.

She grew up as the only girl in a family of boys. Is that what happened with your affinity for football, as well?

Well, I was the only daughter and I was a Daddy's Girl so I guess that helped, but if you're raised in Wisconsin, being a Green Bay Packer fan is in the blood from birth. I love competition so, though football is always at the top of the list, I love ice hockey, March Madness College Basketball, horse racing--anything where I can do the research & try to pick the correct winners better than others. First Packer game tonight in Brazil! Can't wait! Thanks so much for the review!

Thanks so much--I love competition so I'm all in for anything where I can do the research & try to correctly pick winners. I sign up for CBS sports contests (NFL, March Madness College basketball) to see who can pick the most wins. It adds some excitement & is a challenge.

Wow! a fellow Packer fan--they're all over the world (and in Brazil tonight). I've lived in Wisconsin all my life so raised watching Packer football with my dad on Sundays, visited Lambeau, met many Packers (Starr, Nitschke, Favre, & lots more). Sign up w/CBS Sports every season to try & pick the most winners so I watch all the games but root for Packers always. Thanks for the review!

Unlucky that I am replying to this now, considering what happened tonight. Losing is one thing, but an injury... I hope he's okay. Crossing our fingers!

I wasn't entirely disappointed in their play; there were too many silly penalties & missed passes/receptions, but there were many good things and hopeful signs until those last 6 seconds. He'd been having his thigh worked on the latter part of the game so I'm hoping it was just bad dehydration cramping. Aside from the limp, he seemed to be walking fairly well. Hopefully the extra couple days before the next game will allow for complete healing--we don't want an Aaron Rodgers season-ender in the first game.
