I'm sure your beautiful poem will be of great comfort to Nomi at this most difficult time in his life. To loose your spouse has to be one of those most difficult things to endure. But, his faith and friends like he has on FanStory will give him comfort knowing he will see Yvonne again.

That was lovely, Pam. I hope Nolan gets to read it too. I know what he is going through having lost my husband 40 years ago. That Yvonne died in her sleep is how I'd like to go, but what an awful shock for him when he woke up to find she had passed away. Truly lovely, my friend.

Everyone processes the loss of a loved one differently...
Which is why, your final words resonated with me quite well:

I know it's not the same for you and me,
But true love we both can still guarantee.

Losing a wife, partner and best friend after 51 years of togetherness I can only assume is quite painful.

Your poem/words are very warm and comforting.

This is a beautiful, thoughtful poem that I'm sure Nomi will appreciate. His loss will take time to overcome, but after reading his poem and his

I'm sure nomi is touched by your sweet tribute. I have never seen a poem with 9-6 syllables but it reads smoothly with good strong rhymes. I didn't know him that well but he's in my prayers.

a powerful and moving elegy poem for the lost of Nomi's wife of 51 years. It is hard to imagine what he must be going through. 51 years together is such an accomplishment in this day and age.
