Callum is a great friend, but I think I would've had to leave, lol. I don't think they are in a safe environment. Danielle needs answers and this is blinding her to the danger ahead. Suspensful.
Great job, Jacob.

She has told a really elaborate lie that seems like it will not work out. Won't she have to call home sometime and won't her location show up on the phone? You might want to explain how that will work. Another suggestion: Emma asks me(,)

Well, I guess this had to happen for the story to continue, just like in the horror movies where the couple stays in the haunted house, in spite of all the warning signs.

notes:

I hate lying to her, but what other choice {to} I have?

Thank you for sharing this addition with us. I enjoyed reading. At the beginning I was a little confused who Emma was talking with. You don't make it clear. You may want to look at that area again.

It seems they are actually going to do it. I'm sure Callum wishes they weren't. He doesn't exactly feel welcome there but he wasn't to support Danielle. I'm anxious to find out what they will learn about these people.

This is going to be problematic now that Emma has requested photographs. But it all cleverly adds to the tension and intrigue of Danielle's plan. Excellent! Thanks for sharing Debbie

I really enjoyed the tension you've built in this chapter! I love how you hint at the truth using inner thoughts while maintaining a calm exterior. The characters feel real, and you can sense the weight of their decisions. I'm hooked! Looking forward to seeing where this story goes!

And the "adventure" or should that be labeled "days of doom" begin? I think Daniele is taking this all to lightly, considering she knows nothing of these people except Harvey (the convicted murderer) sent her there. A few loose screws rolling around upstairs, I think! Can't wait to see what happens....
