Mary seems a little obsessive more than friendly, so you get that across if that is your intent. The closed gate makes the compound seem rather like a prison. It just doesn't seem like a healthy place for Danielle or Michael. I don't get why she doesn't want to have a serious relationship with Michael.

I can't help but feel if I was in her situation that I would I be asking a lot of questions. If she really wants to find out why is she waiting for them to answer what she wants to know? I guess I'll find out eventually.

I'm surprised Danielle isn't seeing this as a commune and how controlling Oliver is. Maybe she doesn't want to. I am sure Callum sees it. I sure hope he'll be able to protect Danielle. I am liking this story.

Hi Jacob,
Your book is progressing well. I read a few chapters I missed and the flow is great between them. We see Danielle deceiving her foster parents to go to the compound. In doing so, she proves she knows it's not the best choice for her. She's gotten Callum to go with her, but they isolate them right away. Mary takes her on a little walk by themselves, though not a lot is learned by Danielle. There seemed to be more that she wanted to say.

Great job with setting, dialogue and engaging techniques.
Take care,
Rhonda

I know I might sound superficial here but wasn't Danielle supposed to war her mother's dress for lunch...or was it dinner? Anyway, this is quite an interesting conversation with Mary and we nearly get something to hang on to about Danielle's parents. But then it's whisked away again. The 'forever partner' is intriguing too and might explain the reason Callum is not exactly welcome there. This is a mysterious bunch and I don't trust any of them:) Thanks for sharing your excellent read! Debbie

Danielle's no closer to finding anything out about her parents and it seems as if she's already being groomed to have a partner..most likely I would guess it is Oliver.

My question is did one of them or more kill her parents and Ian and Harvey took the blame? but why? drugs? And why would he want her to come back to this place?

Good job, Jacob.
Smiles, Carol
