Well meaning, but?

And that*s why there*s a fairy on top of the Christmas tree.

Shucks. I thought for sure that was an angel but she sure looks like a fairy to me now. I really don't blame Santa. He is eying his lovely Mrs., eating goodies and has been drinking Brandy. The last thing he wanted was a cheery nosy little fairy with a tree! Well done.

Santa cursing!?! OMG! :) An adult Christmas story. I smiled throughout. The closing line, if taken in an adult frame of mind and Santa's weariness from the previous week, could have more than one answer. Nice work. Good luck in the contest.

Florence's arrival might not have cheered Santa up, but his response made me laugh out loud. Like they say... 'No good deed goes unpunished'. Poor well meaning Florence: wrong place, wrong time. Your well crafted story is a perfect explanation for the fairy-on-the-top.

Be nice, Santa! One must not always blurt out what first comes to mind. Enjoyed the humor in your 100-word story. Thanks for sharing! Good luck in the contest!
Smiles, Carol
