Good one, no doubt a winner. Nothing like a child and a puppy to bless the day. The photo is perfect. I tells the story. Best to you in the contest. No doubt a winner.

Very nicely done. Fifty-word flash fiction is difficult at best, and you put together a complete plot in fifty words. Deftly written. Good luck in the contest.

A tale to gladden the heart and lift weary spirits at this storm time of the year - a happy ending despite the destruction wreaked by the Tornado- great pic to illustrate.

Do I take it that Windy now belongs to your family? It's a miracle that the little puppy survived such a devastating tornado. I think the uprooted tree saved her life.

No Windy does not. But got the idea from the latest storms. Thank you for the read and the feedback. You may be correct about the tree.

Hello!

I don't bother entering these contests because I am WAY too wordy. I don't think I could get a full narrative into 50 words. I'm still introducing the first scene well past that! *laughs*

Anyway, you have the skill to do this. You have setting, character, and plot all down. You also have a climax and resolution. The inciting event is the first three words "The battering wind." You manage to say so much with your limited word count! I may have to give this a go sometime. Maybe I could make it work.

By the way, I LOVED that the rescued puppy was called "Windy." That's a nice touch. Well done! Good luck in the contest!

Thank you for the carefully crafted review. Deeply appreciated. Encourage you to give it a try. May take some pruning at first, but I think you can do it.
