This was a very bad day. You did a good job of describing the beauties of the forest and your walk, although I think you could have inserted yourself more into the story and maybe avoid describing some things more than once. Even little streams becoming raging torrents when it rains hard, so it might be more believable if you were patting yourself on the back for getting across the creek before it floods and then you break your ankle. Good luck with your writing.
