How courageous you are to enter such a daunting challenge! And the result is in your own uniquely droll style, just on the edge of being offensive, but never somehow crossing that line. It's funny, it's evocative, and it's well-written in an alternative style that, along with the content, keeps the reader intrigued to the end. I don't see how you can not win this contest.

"I'm seeing stars". -- Period inside quotations.

Congrats on the win. You're not the only entry to satirize the prompt contest, but this one has the base layout. I would add, it's not about quality, but popularity. Well, I'm working on a senryu to explain that. LOL

You have a great imagination, Michael. I have noticed that many write in the contests or more so in prompts. I just don't know how everyone can keep up with whatever else they are doing. Like working on a novel, or such. And life and its cares.. anyway, this was different, and I liked it alot.

This is a very interesting poem of satire. Using the sheep to give the message is a good idea.I'm not a free verse poet so I usually pass rather than take a chance on missing the points I should be looking for. This all passes, in my book.

I love the picture. I love the poem. I love the title. Each sheep is wearing a suit of wool. I like the winner that the wolf picked. He picked one that was like himself. The wolf liked lamb chops too. Great work. Good luck in the contest.

Really good entries here. Kind of gory in the middle, but then you're a guy, and that's what they like to do. :) Sounds like you're copying Luke's style here and there. He'd be flattereed. LOL!
