A very nice faith poem about the rain washing away all your sins. How wonderful the feeling. Sometimes, I think God used rain as this example because of the wonderful feeling it gives as it glides down the face. I love walking in the rain and letting it flow over my body. Such a refreshing feeling...just like having your sins erased from your life. Very nice poem.

Water...the ultimate cleanser...think of a fresh splash in a waterfall..
Nothing better to wash away depression..sadness..I love the image in the photograph and the spirituality you give to it..

Thank you for your kind review. Children's prayers are short and simple and that is what I was attempting to create in this poem.

What a lovely 'faith' entry. I love the picture, the rain, the refreshing knowledge of being cleansed, an overall delight! I also love the rhyme scheme, very beautiful, blessings...

Your rhyming was nicely placed. I like the flow. I would love to see you name your sin for dramatic effect. I also like how you used rain again in the last sentence to tie it all together. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your kind review. Children's prayers are short and simple and that is what I was attempting to create in this poem. I think naming a sin in this poem would have defeated my purpose of the simplicity of a child's prayer. I do appreciate the thought and agree that in an adult prayer, naming the sin would be beneficial for dramatic effect.

This is a simple, but very beautiful entry for the faith contest. I love your rhyme scheme and this flows so gently one line to the next. Best wishes in the contest, my friend~Debbie

This is a lovely way for a child (or adult) to express faith -- though, of course, some behavioral change is required to complete the process. Otherwise, it is all abstract. Well done and aptly illustrated.

Hi, Annie Wonderfully inspirational poetry from start to finish. I could feel what you felt as you penned this I especially liked the way you ended it:

"For I prayed a prayer today.
"Please take all my sin away."
And this cleansing by the rain helps me to know."

Blessings, Bob

Thank you for your kind review. Children's prayers are short and simple and that is what I was attempting to create in this poem. Believe it or not, most of my poetry comes from some time in my life that reflects the content of that poem. Keep your writings coming my way. I enjoy them.

A lovely poem. Nothing feels more refreshing or cleaning than a summer rain. I love to ride my motorcycle in the rain. The wind? Not so much.
