I'd like to write a review with just two words because although this poem was short, I cried. The words pierced my heart like an arrow. Sometimes I think, the fewer words, the more powerful they can be. This story is a perfect example of that. Two words: I cried.

I also agree with the poem, your self-worth is destroyed by painful unfulfilling relationships, and the consequences keep going as you say so succinctly in your well-written verse.

This is a brilliant entry in the 2-4-4-12 contest. The title implies many possibilities but you poem penetrates the senses like a sharp knife. There is raw emotion interwoven in your words. Though sad, it is a deep introspective commentary on the lives of so many who have endured the pain of which you speak. Well Done.
