A brilliant write Brett and good to have this out in the public . I totally agree with the view expressed and wish this were a hot subject in England but it's not , maybe because the government here are supporting death by arms sales etc that they push this to one side. No accountability .Condradulations excellent writing . Regards John

I tend to agree with you here on this touchy subject, but if there should be any doubt whatsoever the execution should be set aside until it is proven beyond a doubt the accused did the murder. This might take a while, but it just might be the answer to the violence that is so prevalent today. The laws need to be tougher. Well done Brett. Nancy:)

Glad you enjoyed this script. Do believe in tougher laws for this crime as the ONLY source on cutting down on them. Appreciate your input and the review.

Hi, I'm of the opinion if there is DNA linking them to the crime then use the death penalty but if it's circumstantial as in many cases give them life. We have made to many mistakes sending innocent men to prison. Shirley

I was against the death penalty most of my life. Then that bastard in New Zealand shot that three-year-old boy. A baby who had placed his little shoes outside the mosque like the men. He was so beautiful, and my heart blackened against those who can take a life and live themselves...actually 49 lives. Never ask me again for mercy for a murderer. The governor asks never to speak his name or show his face...may God grant her grace for this act.

Oh, another murder - an 11-year-old foster child killed his foster parents. There can be no more mercy!!

You're right about it being a touchy subject. My only objection is that many people have later been proved innocent. If they had been executed right away, it would have been a mistake. However, for these monsters who have no remorse or soul, I agree. We need to rid the world of them.

This was a good read, Brett. You've definitely opened up a can of worms with this one. My statement to the attorney would be to answer her, "There is no justice in death," with she has made sure there's no justice in life as well. So, we're stuck with no justice. I've never thought of the death penalty as a deterrent, I've always thought of it as a punishment. But that's just me. Good write.
