"Thermostats", is short, succinct and very much to the point. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. I look forward to seeing your next post.

This is a really clever and well thought out way to describe ice cubes. I like the descriptive, clever, and colorful writing used. You've done a fine job with this and I enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

Hahaha, this is so great! I'm a fan of ice myself so i know where you're coming from. Your picture has made me thirsty and longing for some of those frozen friends. Good luck in the contest.

Comment from Gail Denham
a tribute to ice - just read another poem with that subject. We need our ice - especially in some parts of the country. Here, we're still having freezing at nights - and only 60 today. I think about camping where we have to bring lots of ice to survive. There are no fridges.
Good poem

Nice poem! Of course now I'm thirsty now after seeing that cold drink in the picture, except my drink of choice is Pepsi! Anyway your poem was interesting! Keep writing!

Comment from Pam (respa)
-A very refreshing image
and nice presentation.
-The format and
syllable count are good.
-The imagery is effective
as you describe the cooling
elements necessary for summer.
-I like the image "frozen friends"
and the beginning and ending words.
-Good luck in the contest.

That's an interesting view of ice cubes. I've never thought of them that way. Interesting form of poetry, too. I've never heard of it before. Good luck in the contest.

I've been exposed to more types of poetry than I can count since I joined, Cindy. On one hand, schemes such as this can stilt expression, though it takes an altogether different kind of creativity to serve it well. Thanks, it was a fun write!
Comment from Rachelle Allen
This is excellent! This is quite a challenging form, it seems to me, yet you mastered it with panache and aplomb...AND found the picture-perfect artwork to compliment it. I have a hunch you have another front-runner on your hands here!! Good luck to you. xo

Comment from Hitcher
Your poem and accompanying artwork made me thirsty, but I think 9.am( here at present) is a tad early to indulge in the pleasure and joy of those free floating jewels. A Great entry ! Good luck!
