This has a grave warning about MothercEsrth. Thanks for creating this verse. The accompanying illustration is a wonderful companion.
My guess the font size diminishing from one line to the next was intentional.
Best wishes for your Lune entry.

Well done, but I sure hope we come to our senses and stop feeding into the destruction of our planet and her resources. If we don't start now, it will not be a good place for our future generations indeed!

kahpot thinks man is kaput!
I agree; we are our own worst enemies and are on the slippery slope to extinction the way we are going. I like how you have the lines fading away as we disappear... hopefully not until after I have faded into my own darkness.

Kahpot, I agree with what you mean, but I hope, if your prediction is right, it won't come true for at least a few billion years. By that time, probably everyone we care about will be gone anyway.
For now, good luck in the Lune poetry contest!

An ominous but very awesome poem. Unfortunately this turn of events may happen one day, who knows when, but it is possible. I really enjoyed this poem though, great work!

"Dark Clouds Falling" is short, succinct and very much to the point. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Aaaaack!! I am out of sixes, dag-nabbit!! ;) ;) This is so very cool on a number of levels, ma'am!! :) First, what an awesome pic... impact you have achieved! ;) ;) Then your font size change really catches the eye and makes the reader want to follow you 'down the rabbit hole' to read the whole thing!! ;) :) And both of those things just do wonders to enhance your message in your well-constructed Lune -- great job!! ;) ;) Thank you so very much for sharing and best of luck in the contest! ;) ;) Yvette :)

I like that you entered the contest. I like the simplicity of the Lune poetry. I like that the photo and poem takes us into the future of what the world appears in the darkness without man. Futuristic poetry so structure in this poetic style. Best regards for your contest entry.
