Love this poem. There is something about teddy bears that make life a bit more peaceful and full of love. They comfort a child in need and also bring joy to many children.

Sally, I envy your perseverance and of course your talent in writing these. I'm so far behind in my reading and reviews. Will try to get to you new chapter later today. As to this nonet. Yes, even to this guy, it brings back sweet, comforting memories. Loren

I count 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 syllable count as per writing prompt entry requirement. Nonet. What precious artwork to go with this fabulous theme! A child's best friend...so close to their hearts. The one who understands. I especially liked the third and fourth line. Great job!

Hi Mystery Author,
Isn't it special how kids love their teddy bears and other stuffed animals? Our granddaughter has them all around her bed... Teddy bears, Big Bird, Minnie Mouse, a giraffe, Patchy-Patch, a turkey, the Lion King, Batman, Elsa, Cookie Monster, Elmo, a wise owl, Toopy & Binoo, etc. You get the idea. She doesn't go to bed alone. She's got all her pals around her pillow.
I count the correct number of syllables/line, and you have great flow from start to finish.
Good Luck!
Cheers,
Kimbob

This poem has an element to it that makes the reader smile- it reminds us of childhood (or early childhood in my case). The addition of the word "bestest" also displays the light spirit and happiness reflected in the poem. Also, there are rhymes (even though there are only nine lines), and even those click together to stimulate the joy of the infant in us.
I'd love to know a more about what inspired you to write this!
-Best of luck in the contest :)

This is such a beautiful poem! And the picture is priceless! I'm a real softie for poems like this that are tender-hearted. I put a poetry book together and the name of it is Tender Touches from My Heart. Anyway, I love the poem! And we've all used bestest when my kids were little and I use Grammarly ALL the time!
God bless!

This poem is simple, yet sweet. You did an excellent job with the Nonet format as prescribed in the contest rules. The picture you chose highlights the sweet childlike story.
