I found this to be a most fascinating and enlightening story on
Celtic tradition and the meaning of 'Anam Cara, a most befitting
of its meaning and significance in Celtic history and culture via
a personal fondness and intrigue on all facets of Celtic life, as
I come to know or read about them. Your write here, is meticously
conveyed, and thorougly absorbing especially on the soul mate
match and relationship, with nothing left to wonder or ambiguity.
I truly practically drenched myself in your story, word for word,
and has left me so truly grateful, inspired and enightened on
Anam Cara life, with life mate, and all correlating Celtic powers
and destinies.
I truly marveled and admred your personal account of you and
your Anam Care in your life and world together; likewise, so
happy for you both. It is a beautifull life and fullfillment you share,
and you reflected on it so candidly, objectively, and compassionately.
My fortune and blessing to have chanced to read it, and I am truly
glad how you shard it here. Mesmerizing and unforgettable!
Gratefully, with best wishes always,
Ronni

Absolutely a beauty here to read. I am a great believer that our present life is intertwined somehow with a past not remembered. My todays, I am nearly 80 has always touched by sense of being a servant and I have been fighting that all my life. Never cleaned house in front of my children - I am not their servant, did it when they were in bed. Unlike you a Soul Mate was not mine, I was a servant and I suffer a servant complex...it is all amazing that if we look deeply at ourselves we can sort of sense an inkling of what we might have been before we entered our today life.
I just love the write you gave of being a soul mate...thank you.

You words are so very kind. We do have many lives, I believe, and as we learn our lessons in each one we move further down the road to a place of tranquility.

I have written about two past lives, went to a Regressionist (?) Didn't actually regress and she was thrilled and told me not to open mouth when she got me back. She said her other 'gift' that she had was that she saw the people of my past and she described both the people I had written about to a 'T'.
I was a servant in very old times and a prostitute. I had my writes in my pocket and I handed them to her. Pretty amazing and thus my servant complex - I own for sure.
I am moving like you say slowly to a place of Tranquility.

Wow, I feel richly rewarded with your authentic voice sharing deeply, thank you...

Thank you for sharing your story. I like it when a story teaches you something new and means something to someone else. It was very well written.

Incredibly written, and I would give you six stars if I had it. Most incredible is not the writing but the experience and reality of finding the right lady that you have described. You have been very blessed by God! I pray that your marriage continues blessed.

Interesting article!
You have some mechanical errors:
The first sentence of paragraph 3 is a comma splice. Use a period after "people."
The last sentence of paragraph 3 is a fragment. Is that intentional?
In paragraph 6, no commas are needed around "as well as."
In paragraph 7, well-dressed needs a hyphen. Also, the second sentence is a fragment.
In paragraph 8, a comma is needed: ...dinner date, we married.
There are probably more, but I will stop here.
This is a good reflection. Clean up the errors and it will be great.

What a beautiful story. I once wrote a poem, Love me as I am. Your paragraph on knowing each other's faults so you can accept them touched me deeply. You're indeed blessed.

Ah this is so wonderful and I'm so happy for you both. That your soul mate has come to be a lasting one is so very rare in today's world. I've been married twice but that was not to last, and I'm very happy on my own. I am blessed with a daughter and three grandchildren, though. I'm rooting for you. Bless you both. All best. Ulla:))

Hi there,
You did a good job with this contest piece. the writing is engaging and generally well-written. I love the Gaelic phrasing.
satisfaction of being married to the best women of my life. Now, anyone who reads this is going to say, "yah right women, ha!"- should women (plural) here be woman (singular)?
Incidentally, my back garden is full of four-leaf clover...
All the best

I learnt a lot from this entry, about the origins and meanings of the phrase "Anam Cara" - so much more poetic-sounding than soulmate, which in itself is so much more evocative than the term beloved.
I am so glad the author found his Anam Cara, and that their relationship is so polyvalently satisfying, and I found the description of this very satisfying.
