I love it! I am very partial to mermaids and a few appear in my story, Julu, and also Jirvania.
I loved the way this poem just flows when you speak it out loud.
Absolutely no suggestions for improvement. It's great.
Oh, and the artwork is a superb match!
All the best,
Jan

Thank you ever so much for the comments, as well as the six stars. I always look forward to reading about the mermaids, though, i love the story no matter whether the mermaids are in a particular posting, or not.

A nice take on the idea of these creatures from the sea -mermaids- and their place in lore especially marine lore -'sailors heard their songs'- nice pic to illustrate

-Nice artwork
and presentation.
-The syllable count,
rhyme, and imagery are good.
-I like your topic, too.
-You describe the seamaids
well and also tell a little story.
-I like the idea of the sailors
possibly telling "wond'rous tales."
-Good luck in the contest.

Your mermaid Nonet post tells a very nice tale. Your selected artwork is a great companion to your text. The sailors would be lucky to hear or see that vision.
I too use cleo85 for my FanArt. She does provide us great artwork to accompany our simply written verses.
Best wishes in this contest. I would compete against you except the one I have saved in preview is 1,2,3 ...,9! LOL

I am glad you are not competing against me. Yes, cleo85 is a great artist to use on some poetic works. Thanks for reviewing and the comments.
