Around here they have so many people testing, that the lines are a mile long. The newspaper had ten pages of obituaries. How sad is that? I feel like this has multiplied in an abundance of numbers. Pray!

Yes it does, and I am tired of not being allowed to swim or go to the gym

Iza,
Your story is clever and humorous. Calling your
family doctor is hilarious but not far from reality.
This pandemic has thrown the world off kilter
and your story confirms the situation. The virus
and its handling will keep you in lots of material.
Peace,
Richie b

I'm happy for your that you are feeling better and did not have covid-19, Iza. You told your story well. I understand about the language issues.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Stay safe.
Respectfully, Jan
So, I offer these suggestions:
Face masks should be wear ( worn ) on International flights
I have prescribed an antibiotic and send ( sent) it to
Finally, I gave ( give )all my friend who did it in February, after she came back from Cuba

Hi, Iza. Let me say I think you write remarkably well for a person who is using a third language. I cannot even master the one. LOL
Anyway, aside from, the terrible vrun-around and trouble you had to get tested and medicated, here is one big point I want to convey to you about your writing since you said you wouldmwelcomw help.
Always...always write in one tense or the other. Past tense..or present tense. In this post you frequently use them back and forth in what seems like you do not think it matters. I know it does matter to you, so please trym to remember that rule..One or the Other..right?
Here is an example of your use of past tense:
" Spain GOT new cases among the medics who are dealing with the pandemic," Got is past tense whereas GET is present tense. Most of what you have written her is broken present tense, like this:
Present Tense.
" I refuse to take the prescription, first I want to do some tests just to confirm the diagnosis."
For past tense this would read " I REFUSED to take the prescription, first I WANTED to do some tests just to confirm the diagnosis."
Either is fine but stay with one or the other Iza.
If I can help some more, let me know. : ) Bob

Once again you have a great chapter on the frustrations of dealing with simple routine things in the epidemic. You can't see a doctor. You have to get a long distance diagnosis, which can go wrong. Then you have to inform work and go through all those maddening protocalls; isolation and quarantine and going on isolation pay. The frustrations of dealing with technology that can be cumbersome also comes into play. Also you continue to do these with this great personality we have come to know, a heightened sense of anxiety and blood pressure and a self rescourcefullness. estory

Oh happy day! I found a Coronella story again. And a very nice one too. All kind of things happen in the medical world that are different from what we are accustomed to. Your story is a perfect example. Even a simple thing as a doctor's visit is made very difficult and complex. You described it eloquently.

I am happy that you are back on the path to restored health. It can be a treacherous journey and no matter what you call the virus it is good to read your good news. Be well, my friend.

Iza, this is a great addition to the Coronella Saga AND contest entry -- smart girl, you are!
I was told my reviews resemble a 'laundry list', so I am trying to space comments out a bit and be a kinder, gentler reviewer. lol
Some thoughts...
Face masks should be wear on International flights. >> should be worn on
4000 death due to >> deaths due to >> really!? Oh, man. /this is ridiculous. HOw do we stop this crap?
5 minutes >> five minutes >> supposed to spell out numbers that are small. I've heard under ten, under twenty, and I don't know for sure. lol
Now I'm freaking out. Do you have the virus!? Oh, NO!
face to face >> face-to-face. I have NO idea why. lol
I like seeing the Oracle from Delphi; answer the riddle and you might talk to the Doctor >> LOL! Great line. I love, love, love your sense of humor. It is so dry and sarcastic. :)
Lucky me I could go >> Lucky me, I could go
have bladder infection; I have prescribed an antibiotic and send it to >> >> have a bladder infection; I have prescribed an antibiotic and sent it to >> Who'd have ever thought having a bladder infection would be GOOD news...
I know this isn't funny, but your delivery is wonderful. I"m chuckling as I read 'the oracle' and your comments about the pharmacies. Good job!
Later on the day >> Later on in the day or Later in the day
antibiotic and start my treatment right away.
And start my >> and starting my
And call my friend >> and called m friend
The questioner >> the questionnaire
My test is coming back negative >> My test came back OR My test comes back (since you're doing a lot of this in present tense, it will work either way). >> YAY! But I'm sorry you till feel bad...
practice medicine as a family doctor during an pandemic >> practice medicine as a family doctor during a pandemic >> If they don't, they're not thinking clearly. Good idea, actually!

Oh, my! What a lot of stuff you've gone through! So glad you are free from the infection now. That is scary. Did you research the ingredients of the first drug? You should write down the name and tell your doctor that you have an allergy to it for the future.
"Face masks should be wear on International flights" (worn)
