I think you did well in the syllable counting and according to what was asked in this contest. I also liked the word choice and the smooth flow. Beautiful word choice indeed and conveys positive elements to the reader, such as joy, the beauty of nature and naivety, I enjoyed to feel these by reading your poem a few times.
