Ah! This is terrific entry. A lively tempo with great meter and rhyme. I love the lines:
"Blackbeard again!" I think with a chuckle.
"Oh where is my swash? Oh, where is my buckle?"

What a lovely poem. Nice bouncy rhythm and simple to follow, making it good to read aloud to children. But even though I'm not a child, I really enjoyed reading this and it gets my vote.
I hesitate about clicking on that six star rating, but why not do it? I've read a lot of poems on site and I do believe this is faultless in every way.

What a lovely poem. Nice bouncy rhythm and simple to follow, making it good to read aloud to children. But even though I'm not a child, I really enjoyed reading this and it gets my vote.

This is a delightful poem about the Teddy's day we have here old sport.
