Well, Sally I think the artwork looks like you. I love these short forms because a person has to really consider every word to get them just right.
And I do love Gordon Lightfoot's music too, and Emily Dickinson. So you hit all the right notes.

Thank you for the sweetest review and compliments. Now, I'm not quite that beautiful on the outside but maybe on the inside I am. That's what's most important: my spirit and my soul coming to the outside. The rest is a savory gravy.

Okay! It's so nice to know beauty is on the inside as my outsides are not so great these days. I just hate all the zoom meeting as I always stare at myself the whole time thinking, 'Do I really look like that?! What happened!?' Well done as always my dear. =]

I'm glad I wrote this poem and I sure hope you take this to heart. You are beautiful to me... do you hear this? It's not just about what you look like in the mirror, it's about the spirit within. The rest is just smoke and mirrors. I'm happy as long as my husband looks at me with eyes of love and thinks I'm beautiful.

Your 3-6-9 poem certainly meets the style standard and the key to me is the second line. Beauty must come from the Spirit as the Bible says in Proverbs 31:30.

That is exactly right. That doesn't mean I'm a post to any spit polish on the outside to make it look better. I'm all for beauty cream and putting on a little make up every day. I have a husband who loves me no matter what but I always like to look good for him. Mostly, it's the spirit inside and make someone beautiful to me.

I like this poem, addressing beauty in a way it has never before(to my knowledge) been presented. If you plan on entering the 3-6-9 contest due on the 18th of next month, you'll have to write 3 stanzas, otherwise this one is good as a stand alone.
