-I can see why you won
the contest, Sandra.
-Wonderful artwork and
presentation, plus a story
that will definitely appeal to children.
-They would really like the
rhyme, rhythm, and the
repeating line. I can hear
them asking, "Why couldn't
the caterpillar find his mommy?"
-I wouldn't want to have
to answer that one, but all
of the animals did a good job
that sent him further on his way.
-When do his delight, not only
did he turn into a butterfly,
but his mommy found him, too.
-Wonderful story and poem, my friend.

Hi you, this is sooo precious...
I'm so glad Casper found his mum as a
beautiful butterfly...and I love all the little characters
you used...reminded me of your ABC poems...

you are just amazing my wonderful friend...
in pain, typing on a ironing board...and still
putting writings out here...but there is another side...
if you ever get tired of typing...you just have to put
your laptop to one side...reach for an iron... get some housework done ironing...

I truly hope and pray you are doing better...
and I'm so glad I was able to catch this one on time to vote...I love your poem sweet girl...and love all the pictures...of course Grahams were better...so lovingly written you...sending ships full of love to ya...Linda xxoo

Casper didn't know how his life was about to change. What a wonderfully put together package with all of the pictures and rhyme. I wish I had a six for you.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

This is a beautiful entry for the contest! What child would not be delighted to read about ladybirds or bugs. Your words flow naturally with perfect rhythm and rhyme. And the poem entertained from beginning and end. The artwork was lovely. Should do well in the voting booth.

An excellent kiddies poem, ideally suited to post in a kiddies poetic rhyming contest. Most imaginative and would suit my four year old most definitely. The story well told, measured and well rhymed in aabb and heptametric stanzas with an ideal progressive narrative, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

This is a very sweet children's poem and a great entry in the contest.
I love the visuals as you introduce the child to several creatures and the magical event that turns a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly.
Good luck in the contest.

Aw, I love this children's poem! I should have guessed the outcome, but you had me so engrossed reading about all the other insects Casper met, that I didn't guess!
Thank you for sharing!

You got ladybird but picture of lady bug. I think children would really like the repetition and the rhyme. The ending is good too. It was entertaining so kids won't get bored. Well done.

Thank you, Vanna. In the UK, it's called a ladybird, not lady bug. We learn about each others language all the time. :))

This poem should be in a book. It is really good and one that I would read to my grandkids. It follows along the line of Dr Seuss and is easy for a child to follow along with. Great job.

Thank you so very much, Annie, for those lovely stars. And to liken my poem to Dr Seuss, I couldn't ask for higher praise, thank you! :))

Children are the ultimate gift to two people who love each other. When they read this wonderfully written poem to their children, I can visualise a happy gleam in the children's eyes. This is such a 'feel-good' and also an educative poem. Well done. Good luck in the contest!
