You've tied up the loose ends nicely in this chapter. Gladys was a bit of a surprise. Had we met her earlier? I can't remember. I wonder what kind of a hold Marilyn has over her.

A couple of suggestions:

The plan had been not to go back to their homes, but for Tania, Monica, and the rest of the team to stay at Grant's London apartment. [Maybe: The plan had been for Tania, Monica, and the rest of the team to stay at Grant's London apartment rather than going back to their homes]

I'm not going in and accusing her(.) I know I had a mental seizure.

(Which, b)By the way, you'll be surprised to learn that (she) handed in her notice, saying something about a sick relative and then just walked out.

The charge will be (for) conspiring to have Miss Russell murdered

I can't allow a civilian going (to go) along on a bust.

You're on the home straight now. What a story it has been! I've been loving it.

Thank you so very much for the OLYMPIC GOLD star, Tony!! Lol. (we've just won the gold and silver in the swimming!!)

No, Gladys hasn't been mentioned before, only you and Robert picked me up on that, and Robert (rspoet) suggested adding a line or two nearer the middle of the book, even if reviewers forget her, she'll be there. Where would I be without you wonderful reviewers??

And a big thank you for the editing help. I've made those changes. I'm so glad you've enjoyed this book, thank you for telling me that. I hope you'll enjoy the ending. Warm hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

An amazing continuation chapter, Sandra, very well done and thoroughly enjoyed. I am glad to see that Grant's plane was met by Commander George Raymond and the police force to take Rapier into custody. I am also glad that Marilyn and Colin will spend some time behind bars. It will be interesting to find out what happen with Gladys, there has to be a reason for her betrayal. Who really knows what Marilyn, Colin or Max did to her or her sister. Very much enjoyed. Looking for more. Blessings, hugs and smile, Alie.

Hello Sandra,
Things are shaping up quite nicely as the pieces fall into place.
Rapier seems a bit too cooperative, but prison can motivate people
to do things they might not otherwise consider.
It looks like Marilyn Harding will fall into a trap; that leaves Colin
to get his due as well.

One note on Gladys. Usually in mystery novels, a key charter, like the snitch, isn't introduced at the very end without some mention earlier in the story.
You might want to add a simple line somewhere that mentions her name.
Something like: Gladys will be cleaning the office tonight.
Readers will pay no heed in an early chapter, and it will fade from their mind, but it makes it more satisfying when her name reappears in the end.
Just a suggestion.

Great chapter, my friend.
Best wishes to all.
Robert

That is such good advice, Robert. I'm going to do that when I start my final editing, which will be very soon. Thank you so much for that! You've been a great help with you suggestions all the way through.

Thank you for the golden star, and for the lovely review, I really have appreciated you input a lot. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

It is good to know that Max is going to be locked up for a long time. I'm sure the maid was somehow being forced to tell the location or else harm would come to her sister. I love how this story is developing. I'm wondering if there will be danger yet, or if your tying the story up. It will be interesting to see what happens with Grant where his mother and brother are when the there come in to arrest them.

We can't let the baddies get away with it, can we, Beth? Lol. The truth will be out in the next part. Everyone already thinks it's Gladys, Lol. Thank you so much, my friend, for another lovely review. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying it. Warm hugs. Sandra xxxx

Well, I didn't find much this time, did I? The ends are all getting tied up very nicely. Maybe Grant's mother has some hold over Gladys. I guess we'll find out very soon.

Just one suggestion:
My one pleasure would be to go with your men when they arrest her. - I might have said 'when they arrest my mother'

Cheers
Judy

Another great chapter to start off the new week. And just like most of your other chapters, one mystery is solved, then another one takes its place re-revs our interest at closing. Great job! Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad that Grant found out enough information to investigate Gladys, who might have been Rapier's informant. Great dialogue throughout and hope the put Colin and his mother behind bars soon!
One comment:
I've listened to the tape and you're right (It was on a USB drive so maybe "recording" would be better than "tape.")

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Helen, and thank goodness you picked up on the 'tape'. I had it as a tape recorder to start with, and realised that is now old-hat now, and he'd be using a USB. I changed that and forgot to change it to 'recording' when the Commander listened to it! Phew! Thank you!! Sending you a humongous hug, my friend!! Have a lovely day. Sandra xx

now!!! I don't believe for a minute Glady's left on her own...and Grant better get to her fast...I would bet someone threatened her using her sister's Life...so now that I solved that problem...

I'm still leaning on Margaret being a part of this...who else goes in and out of that office???...
and I want to be there when they arrest Cruella...and her troll son Colin...at least they know who the informer is...hmmmmm...

well!!!lets hope the Commander wasn't paid off by them...

This guy, Grant, sure had a sneezy family. His mother and stepbrother were nothing but trash. Glad they will put the bad guy away for a long time. We are now back in London, and the world keeps turning. Good one, Sandy.

He does, Chuck. I feel sorry for all children in the real world who have grown up in loveless families. At least Grant had his grandfather. Thank you so much for this lovely review, dear friend, and that golden star. You're a wonderful friend. Warm hugs and love, Sandy. xxxx

. . . and the plot thickens. You did a great job, Sandra, with this exciting chapter. I enjoyed reading it. Everything seems to be going smoothly, then the thought surfaces again as who could be the leak. I do believe it has much to do with the cleaning woman. Maybe Grant's mother got to her, or she was feeding her info all along for years. I believe Rapier is planning his escape even though he is in custody. Who knows who owes him or who he owns. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Respectfully, Jan
