This poem has wonderful sentiments, it is uplifting and joyous and I just loved reading it and I should paste this poem to my fridge to remind me to always nod my head like the sunflower, a fine write Lisa, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Sunflowers always bring a smile to my face. As you probably know, they will follow the sun as it makes it way through the day. I always thought that remarkable. As to your closing line. There is nothing wrong with being a romantic - hopeless or otherwise - and, as a former horse owner, manure goes a long, long way to helping gardens grow. Loren

This is a well written uplifting poem to brighten our day. Sun Flowers are very cheerful.
Reflect some rays of joy and care.
Look for love -- it's everywhere.
In hidden places, oft obscure,
love continues to endure..

This is fun, uplifting, and powerful medicine for someone who is down in the dumps.
Being a sunflower is the best answer to everything I can think of.
I love the picture it sells us on the goodness that is waiting for us when we read this wonderful poem.
I had a gentle laugh when I read the part at the end in parenthesis. Or maybe this is a load of manure. This is a clever way to end this positive poem.
For the doubters in some of us.
Thanks for brightening up my morning!

I like this poem for its wisdom. Our very outgoing, helpful neighbor next door also has giant sunflowers in the corner of her yard. Favorite lines were: In hidden places, oft obscure,/love continues to endure. How true it is that thinking of others helps distract us from our own problems. And what a funny concluding aside or ending couplet. Suggestion: 'time's get lonely' should be 'times get lonely.'
