Yup, you get my six stars on this one. I loved the fonts you must have labored over! And this, as a phobia, is funny and understandable all at once. Really great job, and I wish you luck in the contest.

A fine one for the contest - and very well presented, with a good choice of image, and fonts, spacing - all well done. as are your words. My youngest granddaughter was quite frightened the other day, by seeing a balloon for the first time. Best wishes for your entry.

I love how creatively you have presented this poem. I think you could take it a bit further. Make the word stretch and taut also red font since it refers to the twisting of the balloon. You have written a poem that I will remember because you dared to do something different that just write a straight poem. Your visual fits perfectly. I would drop the first line of the poem down one space from the bottom of the visual. This is creative work. I give you my last six. I love poets who are adventuresome! That is what this poem says to me. Good luck in the contest.

- Nice picture and font/color presentation
- In the hands of a child - well, there's a recipe for disaster
Those balloons scare me too - always afraid they are going to pop and scare the air out of everyone in the room.
Good luck with this phobias contest - you have an interesting one:-)

I can relate to your choice of fragile phobia. A taunt balloon or balloon animal rubbed and scratched by a child, sounds irritating, but then there's the anticipation of the POP when the balloon is handled roughly. You did an excellent job describing your phobia. Best wishes in the contest.

There are so many things I like about this piece. The picture, the different fonts, the way you wrote stretched, the imagery, the personification... I could go on and on.

There are people who are often overwhelmed with fear of what could happen in tense or apparently threatening situations--like the antsy person watching that balloon scenario you have so vividly described.

I always worry that the balloon bursts when being manipulated into different animals, but I expect the experts know how far to go with the twisting. I loved the font and I could hear the balloon squeaking here, love Dolly x

In the sixties, people were making all sorts of things with ballons. They were cute, and it seemed people wanted to pop them. They did not last long around my sisters and brothers. Thank you for sharing. This brought back memories. Have a great day.
