You parents sound very much like my parents. I think it was the era. I know my husband and myself have a different relationship than my boys and their wives. I think time evolves things. I enjoyed reading.

Thank you Barbara. I'm sure it is a generational thing. We are different from our parents and our children have a differing parenting style than hours. I glad you suggest things to make my writing read smoother.

I liked your story. I particularly liked the paragraph you told about digging the $100 bills up and thought you lost them. Nice tension there. There was a sentence "went to a collage and quickly obtained her GED," I'm thinking collage need to be college.

Thank you for the excellent review and comments and for noticing the misspelling. I have another story I wrote about that incident with the bills which is told with more detail and dialogue. I may reactivate it at some point.
