You have written an engaging commentary on our world today. We are so busy tracking everything, we truly don't see the forest for the trees. And we don't see each other. Thanks for this thought-provoking essay. Check for typo in the second line.

Thanks for the excellent review and I like to make people think. So I guess I succeeded. It is controversial and the debate is there too over this issue. estory

As always you make some very good points. But I need to say that I would like to see this prose poetry condensed just a little bit into one cohesive ball ready to be read by more readers who will get the gist of what you are saying and then review you with helpful hints and give suggestions on how to improve this prophetic piece.
Have a wonderful day and remember to look up into the sky to see things clearly and not all the terrible things you worry about maybe too much.

The energy has to come from somewhere as life means we are awake and make a difference. I think you mean (look) in the second line. We have enormous resources on earth and nothing goes unnoticed these days, I enjoyed the sentiment here, love Dolly x

I actually really like prose poetry and you have done a fine job of it here. Posing the question through a series of observations that not only has our planet become overpopulated with people, but also the vistas with surveillance objects we have sent into space to obscure the vision of our joy. We cannot see the stars anymore is particularly prevalent in big cities.

Humankind and planet Earth is undergoing a great transition because of the unbridled and often negative effects of big tech IMO.

Excellent social commentary here estory.

Estory,
Your poem is right on the mark. We depend on machines now, instead of each other.
Do we have to worry about falling space debris when those satellites conk out.

You've taken an excellent philosophical view of the downside of progress.
Excellently written.
Good luck,
Blessings,
Cindy

I can't see the stars anymore with my deteriorating eyesight but I can lock onto the moon with my high range telescope. So much space trash. Ultimately it will fall.
Blessings for sharing!

This is well-written and definitely a thinking piece. To be honest, I had never really thought about this before.

Technology drives the train that is the Earth. They have talked of shooting all of the belt generated battery acid into space. Makes one wonder how long before we start polluting the moon. Where men go, garbage follows.

Thanks for the excellent review and my sentiments exactly. But not everyone agrees. I think the tech world, the artificial world, is in many ways a soulless world estory

I am in complete agreement with you and very well written poem. It's sad what man has done to our planet. I believe there are other planets out there. I wonder if their humans or whatever have destroyed theirs like we did ours. Thank you for sharing.

I think there's still enough of a sky to see and gaze into that ocean of nothingness interspersed by the wonder of blinking lights, not of satellites but the timeless stars, I can understand living in the city, but not in the country, although the cities are encroaching, where we live now, is where I romped as a child, beautifully written, reflections, well done, blessings Roy
