We have a great sense of humour, unique to say the least. By your post I think our sense of humour is known all over the world, though some don't understand our quips. Like...she could talk under concrete. The American reply was...what does that mean? Duh. We can outwrite, outthink and laugh louder than them! K zz

Lol. And we can talk under water! Yes, there are cultural differences in humour. But the comment was indeed a compliment, so that's good - but not for me as I didn't write the poem, lol.

When I saw the image of the rabbit at the desk writing, I assumed a rabbit was the latest animal to spend time at your computer, lol!

Now I have to look for the post you're talking about.

Oh, well done Wendy and I agree, it is a compliment to us Aussies whether we do humour well or not. Now I am left to wonder if they know they were being complimented or not. I love the picture.
Still smiling,
Valda

Lol. I now know who wrote it - and it made me laugh so much. But I?d better not say anything till after voting?s finished. Thanks so much for a great review. Always greatly appreciated.

Oh Wendy, I did laugh when I read this, because it was me! voting for my own poem, which it has been announced is permitted now. Also because hardly anyone else had voted for it, which I thought was cruelty to randy rabbits. One woman suggested it was a great children's poem, which made me think that she needed to read it a bit more carefully.
I'm sure the viewers of reviewers keep an eye out and know perfectly well who voted for themselves, so I was having a little go. I did think that between us we are giving Aussies a certain reputation. Hahahahaha!

Lol. Well -congratulations. Both for writing an excellent and very funny poem, and for writing the comment! Lol. That makes it even funnier. I was looking forward to seeing who wrote it. Yes, one is always allowed to vote for one?s own work. Well - I also voted for this one because it was so funny, and also so very well done. We Aussies do indeed stick together - and have a great sense of humour!!

Thanks Wendy, very much. I suspect some of the serious septic tanks just didn't get it, or thought that the subject should be treated seriously. I definitely mentioned the sun more than any of those others kids did!

That?s what I thought too. Some were only linked to sunset by a very thin thread.
I like to see humour. Have to admit I thought at first the comment was rubbishing us Aussies, until I realised that whoever wrote it must have voted for it hence thought it was the best in creativity and originality. Lol. I?m so glad it was you who wrote the poem, and the fun comment as well! I thought it was very imaginative and creative.

I must check that out. I wish you'd join us in the Animal Crackers Club. You can still write whatever you wish outside the club. I'm so glad more are writing animals speaking and not just a few of us.

Oh yes, I am in that club. Sunny has written a few times, but not just recently since he?s started his Therapy Dog work. We?ll have to get back to it. Thank you for reviewing. Always appreciate every response.

If I had the chance to visit Down Under, I could be recognized as the writer, no? idk. My humor is definitely British in origin, as dad was Polock, and they haven't a funny bone in them.

Thank you Tom. I think the humour in each culture is slightly different. Maybe in each individual too.

Hooray for our Aussie writers! Yes, you all have a great sense of humor, plus you have a colorful version of British English. And speaking of British English, we Americans love British humor, too!

Wendy,
I like your comments in this essay.

I know you get the last laugh in this one. I think highly of your country, because you (generalizing) have a server for saving wild and tame animals, and you're down to Earth, and you produce fantastic actors, and you're all about wildlife..(I don't think I'm pandering,).
Nice response to the person's comments.
Hoppy Easter, lol just kidding.
Blessings, Cindy

What a great review, Cindy. Thank you so much. I think I get as much pleasure from reading reviews as I do from writing stories.

On a blind contest people often want to guess who might be the author, but you can never know until the voting is done. I like your response and how you point out the positive.
