This is another very wonderful poem that you have written for this particular time in your life. The pads of my life with dogs always been straight. I have managed to go places and do things that others have not been able to do. The one thing that was the balancing thing for me in my life was meeting and Mary a wonderful man who helped me to be the person that I am today. Patricia.

Patricia, our life mates, that are soul mates are rare gifts indeed.

I enjoy reading this rhyming poem about life and spirit to go forward. The rhyming scheme worked well except for the fifth stanza where you repeated the word "me". May I make a suggestion as follows?
whether this old crooked stick would forsake me ->
whether this stick would take me to the sea.
or change the last line to ->
And trusted this stick would never break my knee.

I've enjoyed your journey, and although I understand the rigours and the pressure, I admire the journey and the determination you've given to stick to your goal of staying on task, and you have well done Jim, good job, blessings Roy

Your repetition of "crooked" made me think of Nash's line of "to love thy crooked neighbor with thy crooked self." And praise God for keeping us on His narrow path. I especially liked the strategy of "It spurred the spirit in me to bellow Praise." Sometimes in our darkest moments, it helps to just praise Him.

I liked this a lot, and a lot. Yes, life takes us on a path of wonders and adventures we may not have foreseen. Some can be troublesome, and a chore, others may be more fortunate. All best, Ulla:)))
