playing the kazoo is a lot like playing the paper comb. when my children were little and when my grand children were little and enjoy playing the paper comb for them. I enjoyed your form very much. Go ahead and live your dream. Play the kazoo. Patricia.

Hahaaaa. Yep, they're just about the same. I remember playing the comb when I was young. Good times. Thank you for the great review and bringing back some memories, Patricia. I'm glad you liked this silly piece. Have yourself a wonderful day.

The kazoo has such an intriguing sound. I hadn't thought about it being an instrument for the blues, but why not?
This is a fun response to the contest prompt. Best of luck in the booth.

I got a laugh out of this. I liked your bluesy take on the kazoo and the "art" behind it. Thank you for sharing this poem here, and best wishes to you.

I have to admit that I had to look up kazoo on you tube to learn what kind of sound it made. With that in mind, it helped me imagine your sorrowful notes singing out the blues. Your poem is well written, now go chase down a kazoo and play your heart out!

There are many Blues players who used Kazoos in every show, from Hammie Nixon to Eric Clapton, and they all used them. What a wonderfully written poem.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

I'll have to admit, I don't really recall ever seeing Eric Clapton playing his kazoo. Lol. I'll have to look that up. Thank you for the great review and big sixer, Mike. I really appreciate it, friend. I'm glad you liked the piece. Have yourself a fantastic day as well.

It was when he did his tribute to Robert Johnson but I can't think of the title.

You place this heading under humor poetry yet I can't tell if you are for real or not. I love kazoos myself yet know that to others they are laughable. Sad to say, that you are chasing your dreams playing kazoo and may never find them since they are not taken seriously enough.
I hope you find your dreams in the way you so choose!
