Yes indeed it was a long one, and it could easily have been broken up to a few pieces. But it's a beautiful story and so full of love. It's also very well written. I wish you the best of luck. Ulla:)))

I'm not big on romance stories (I prefer murder) but I must say this was entertaining, and I can see it doing well in the young adult romance circuit. My only issue was when the narrator says "She hates me," but doesn't give a reason why he believes this. Maybe he could say something like, "She hates me. I don't know what I did, but maybe she think I'm horrified by her appearance." Or something like that. Anyway, I liked it. Thanks.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. I like your suggestion; it'd be a nice touch to the story. I have some other stories coming up that aren't solely focused on romance, but that is my preferred genre. Thank you again for giving this story a try. I appreciate it. Take care. :D :D

This is wonderful writting and the contest winner in my eyes! What a tragic story of the friends, redeemed with a happy ending. Overcoming love makes for the best love stories. I take it they were in Chemistry together since Jeremy recites the periodic table in his anxious thoughts.

A virtual six for this marvelous offering, and my very best wishes for the upcoming contest.
Sally :))

Thank you for reading and reviewing, Sally. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the story so much. Yes, they were, and Jere just picked up that habit to calm himself down. Thank you again for reading and reviewing. I hope it does well in the contest, too. Take care. :D :D

A tale or a biographical story? Real or fiction? idk, but it was long and filled with doubt, caring, highs and lows. Thanks for sharing with us and best of luck in the challenge.

A heart wrenching and touching story. I could feel the pain and guilt as they confronted their swirling emotions and the terrible situation that caused them. Very well written.

This a flawlessly written romance story in which there is good descriptive detail, time changes and a pace that keep the reader fully engaged in this lengthy piece of prose. I wonder if it might be a bit too long for the contest (which often stipulates desirable length) but it nevertheless ticks all the boxes when it comes to a love story told in the most sensitive and evocative terms. Well done and good luck! Debbie

Thank you for reading and reviewing, Debbie. I appreciate it and your feedback. Oh wow! Thank you so much! I enjoyed creating and revising this story. Thank you for pointing that out, as I was wondering about that, even though the directions only offered a minimum word count. Hopefully, it'll be all right. Thank you once more for reading and reviewing. Take care. :D :D

This is powerful, incredibly well written story. With a professional touch.

I am so glad Lily came back. I was afraid she would die.

It's so touching, their romance, and that he only told her how he felt while she was in a coma. But she heard him!

I enjoyed this very much, thank you for sharing. I hope you win.

Your story is marvelous. I think you left out some words when you wrote; She ducks her head and toes on the floor. I think you meant to write, She ducks her head and looks at her toes on the floor. It's so easy to miss a small error no matter how many times we edit a story. Your story is touching and well-executed. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it and your feedback. I'm thrilled you enjoyed this piece, as I loved writing and editing it. I actually meant to write "She ducks her head and looks at her toes on the floor." Yes, you're right, it's so easy to miss little typos even after constant rereading and even giving it to someone else to review. Regardless, thank you for pointing it out and commenting. I appreciate it. Take care. :D :D

This work has reached the exceptional level

This is an excellent romance. I think it is ready for publication in a magazine (real or online). You may have to cut a little to meet recommendations for length, but it is doable. You might subscribe to Funds for Writers.com which had lots of interesting info about publication. C. Hope Clark also has a pay issue with extra info, I think, but there are lots of suggestions and information at this free site.

A brilliant story. Thank you. I love the characters and the shape of the narrative, seamlessly going back and forth from present to different pasts. Really successful and properly romantic without any mush.
