I agree with you what is going on in this country with mass killing is horrifying. My family and almost everyone else I know in the southern countryside owns guns and I've always taken them for granted. Aside for many of kids I went to school with in the fifties dying of accidental guns related deaths, but not murder. Now I'm starting to wonder about countries other than ours that of gotten rid of guns and seem to happy about the fact they don't have these crimes. Maybe it is time to wonder why we need them at all. One bad mass killing in Australia and people were willing to give them up.

Brett, I so wish I still had six dollars to give to you for this. This is absolutely spot on in thought and word. I appreciate so much you expressing it I feel 100% with you on the subject. I am a person who suffers from bipolar disorder, so therefore, I could never have a gun. And I respect that, nor do I want again. Until we can change the hearts of men, this kind of thing will continue to go on. There are no amount of rules and regulations about gun control that will stop a killer if he really wants to kill. Recently here in Arizona there was a man who deliberately drove his car into two people who were walking on the sidewalk. He said that he wanted to kill 23 people that day neither the people was killed, but they came very close to being killed. Patricia.
