Which came first, the artwork or the poem? They pair perfectly to give the reader a vivid picture. For the sense of sight, you describe the colorful footpath. For the sense of sound, you provide the crunch. Well done. Best wishes in the contest.

I must say that I like this poem as your use of the word 'crunch' really adds an extra element to poems about autumn. Your middle line is also very beautiful so I wish you all the best in the contest.

I really like this one, and I feel it has all the elements of good haiku. I especially like the satori line "crunch" I have one suggestion - haiku is usually titled (in your case) haiku (leaves). But in the end it's always the writers choice. Should do well in the contest.

There is a lovely soft sound to
Leaves
Color the footpath
Then the - crunch-
A definite change of sound really brings to mind a walk among autumn leaves. A lovely haiku.
Good luck in the contest.
Cheers

I think you've written a perfectly.great haiku, whatever the length, this is a stand alone good haiku, bu the strength of the satori line alone, but also to back it up, is it's very short, good luck, blessings Roy

Indeed, the colours of fall are not the season's only beauty, and your haiku makes that very clear -- "crunch". The crisp air always feels refreshing too. Thank you for sharing this sweet reminder.

Hello, Mystery Writer!
I enjoyed your 1/5/1 Haiku poetic offering!
And living here in northern Michigan, those leaves will soon be coloring my footpath; in fact, they already are!
Thank you for sharing!
Best Wishes!

I know that title-If I tried to walk, I'd fall! The artwork reminded me of a park I used to stroll through with individuals from my caseload, when I worked. I love the sight of crispy leaves on the ground!

Of course, if you're the invisible Man, you should avoid the leaves!
