A person can spend a lot of time on this site. Sometimes, when I have other stuff going on, I walk away for a while but always return. You have done an excellent job of summing up the ins and outs of FanStory.

I've been here a number of years but I did learn reasonably quickly, but I might have learned more quickly that that even, so thank you for this essay, there seems to be a large influx of new members, so well done, blessings Roy

Great solid basic facts newbies need right away! Your fun and casual tone makes this entirely readable...
I have a dictionary, thesaurus, and RhymeTime saved to my favorites in my browser for quick look-ups.
Free Grammarly makes me a tad cranky. You almost have me convinced to to the trial for the better version!
Also a good point to NOT go too long on prose pieces.
(I see newbies do this all the time!)
BTW...sign me up for one who would be happy to donate "years" from my age...

I have a dictionary, thesaurus, and RhymeTime saved to my favorites in my browser for quick look-ups.

Hmmm. Maybe an almost 21 year old who really REALLY wants some legal documentation to get into a pub?

I understand the need to back off from here. I will be coming and going myself. I tend to get obsessive here. So, I have to make myself pull away sometimes. I love it here, but, I can be here too much. enjoy your life and I will watch for your return. Have fun sweetie. :-) Karen

This is a great little advertisement for Fanstory and I learned some new things I didn't know. Like be sure to credit where I got the picture. And if you figure out how to give away some of your years, let me know as I have lots of years to give away.

If you don't have any, I can loan you some of mine if you want. It's not required. Also, we have a lot of seniors here, too, and if you want some of that, I would be delighted to give you 10-12 of my years if you know how to do that. If not, oh well.

It was a bit of light humor. I told them we are full of faith based writers, and if they didn't any I could lend them some of mine. And, in the same vein, we have a lot of seniors. and I would be happy to give them some of my years as well, if they know how to siphon them off. :-) Karen

Thank you for sharing this with us. I believe newbies would get a lot out this. I think I mentioned before, I have been a member since August of 2008. I wish I had people writing these helpful posts when I started. I can't find any way to improve this.
