Things are starting to wrap up nicely here, but still a few surprises. Emma gets a new dog even! I just wonder if poor Molly will feel like the odd man out with those two big dogs, but maybe she'll end up ruling the roost.

Time for Emma to say, "I love you, Seth," loud enough so he can hear it.

Emma does say it in my next post. Molly thinks she's larger than both the other dogs. I had a Pomeranian before I was ever married. Small but positive they're the largest animal alive. Thank you for the kind review.

Well I can see that things are coming to an end, just a few loose ends to tie up. I think Emma is about ready to declare her love for Seth a bit louder next time. Lol. I liked how Seth handled Peggy, and all the others regarding the hazing. I've never heard of "Miranda Rights." I expect it's a similar thing to our, "reading them their rights." Another two chapters? They should be really good. A nice wedding?? Warmest hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

This segment of the story showcases a series of confrontations and resolutions, adding depth to the plot and character dynamics. The interaction between Seth and various individuals, from the compassionate offer to adopt Jax the German shepherd to the assertive handling of Ronnie Calhoun and Peggy Barton, demonstrates Seth's commitment to justice and protecting those he cares about. The introduction of the hazing investigation involving the teenage girls further adds suspense and intrigue, setting the stage for future developments in the narrative. The subtle moments between Seth and Emma, such as their shared understanding and unspoken affection, add a layer of warmth and intimacy to the story, hinting at the depth of their relationship. Overall, this segment effectively advances the plot while highlighting the complexities of human emotions and relationships, keeping readers engaged and eager for more.

Another fact filled chapter to your novel.
An easy read like the others this reader has read.
Very good dialogue that moved this chapter along.
Happy about the dog.
Thank you!

Perhaps Ray finally has someone capable in the form of George Elliot who will help him fend off the contractors' bullying.

The unconscious teens adds another layer of depth to the storyline. Their hazing another form of bullying.

The K-9 German Shepherd could possibly have a good home. Provided he can overcome his grief and be retrained to not be aggressive as police k-9's are trained to be.

This chapter is full of examples of bullying and some of Seth's actions take the cake. This is exemplified by the fact breaking the parameters of a Will not against the law. Seth had no real reason to bring Ronnie in or interrogate him over that, except to "lean on him" because of Emma.

Seth further threatens to have Peggy's probation revoked. But, isn't he overstepping his official police bounds by multiple leaps?

I don't know why, but I always enjoy a scene with Peggy Barton. You would think Ronnie Calhoun would be enough for me to focus my dislike on, but no, I need Peggy. I love how Seth hardly let her speak. Just gave her a good dressing down and let her go. Another fine chapter. Gretchen

Good morning, Barbara,
A great way to start the day - I'm glad Emma and Seth are both realizing the depth of their feelings. I think there will be declarations soon - right? Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more,
