To God be the glory indeed. What an amazing story this is, one that lifts up the reader along with you in gratitude and praise for the blessings and miracles that God bestows. Your poem is truly and divinely inspired.

Thank you Ginda for your generous and encouraging review. He is definitely an inspiration. His family never considered him handicapped which probably one of the many reasons her survived this ordeal.

Thank you Daylily for your most encouraging review. His mom and our whole family had quite a night but as you said, Praise the Lord, it all turned out as it did. He definitely is an exceptional young man. In fact, the regular US Soccer team invited him to Dallas this week to speak about his experience. Very cool for him.
If you Google Tristan Torbett, you can see the article posted on Yahoo about his experience.

How powerful is this!! What a nightmare that must have been for all of you, and to recover in such an amazing way. I am very familiar with Gallaudet, as I lived very close to it when we lived in DC. Amazing place. Yes, he truly sounds like a "Miracle Man" So glad he survived, and has been an inspiration to all.

It was a nightmare but with an amazing end.
Interesting that you lived near Gallaudet. It's a wonderful campus right there in the middle of DC.

Your grandson truly is an inspiration on many levels, but so is your family!

Comment from Dolly'sPoems
This is quite an epic poem Janet as you speak of a Miracle here about your Grandson who was saved in another country. I am so happy that he survived. Your poem is well metered and rhymed and the sentiment is magical and faithful too.
I just have one suggestion for this line, for the sake of metre:
(for Tristan is (a) MIRACLE MAN).
