How true and relatable this is, Tom! Currently, I just can't keep up with the speed of each day and week while, in early years, days were so long I used to suffer from huge bouts of boredom! You've captured the contrast so beautifully here in your compelling verse, both with poignancy and also your usual injection of humour. Well done! Debbie

You're so sweet I'd take you out to eat but since we are not close how about I nominate you for your well thought out review? P.S. - (I hope I have one left)

A poignant write Tom as your post is full of home truths. I ponder the future the same as you, it is much shorter than the past and the only conclusion is just to enjoy the few hours we have left and make the most of life. Old age comes with its limitations, but at least whilst we have breath we can have opinions and still eat good food and sleep. I enjoyed your musings, love Dolly x x x

Agreed! I mean, what is the option? Be miserable and complain all the time. I likely had my subscription of complaints voided some time ago. Have a blessed day and thanks for the read and review.

Excellent, I often wondered if Superman would pass of old age, watching him grow up in the TV. series and movies, as he did come as a baby, yes age (hopefully) will get us all, we must just be satisfied with what we have done, very well written****kahpot

I enjoyed this reflection, in poetic form and yes similar experiences across the oceans over here ... and life continues to fly past. I never used to be able to imagine getting old ie reaching fifty. Now I consider fifty to be quite young. Definitely in the autumn or winter of life now! .Thanks for sharing.

Strange, isn't it, that I never thought age a concern and then seventy hit and wham the guy in the mirror began looking old. Still, at seventy six I carry a room, so I'm told, as yesterday a sister at church mentioned I was an intimidating sort of fellow.

Tom, I can truly understand where you are coming from in this six-star post in my eyes. The days seem to be getting shorter and shorter. You used great descriptive words and very good imagery from your words also. Thanks for sharing. I now feel quite old! lol Blessings, Teri

I concur, and yet am glad to be retired and living, if not Chester A's life, the highlife. Thanks for the review.

Well, ain't that the truth and a half! I spend most of my day reliving the past in my mind. Forget about crossing off a bucket list. I know superman isn't coming to rescue me but I am holding out hope for Batman. He has cooler vehicles and a his costume is amazing.
