What a great idea Wendy, I reckon this book would be very popular. Sunny has brought joy to many people and reduced their anxiety levels with his open loving ways. I loved the title and I wish you luck with the publishing, love Dolly x x x

Thank you very much, Dolly for this encouraging review. I might call the book "Sunny Days and Others", with the others referring to the sad stories (cloudy or stormy days), and also to the other pets and animals who would feature in the book.

That's so sweet! I liked how you connected the beginning to the end with the "What made me say that" prompt and the irony of kitten to dog, your sweet Honey. But when I saw that prompt, I immediately thought of Sunny and expected "What made me...a therapy dog" and it would lead to all the ways Sunny's personality made him perfect for his work as a therapy dog and of course, all the stories about him would be perfect. Anyway, I wish you success in this publishing adventure!

The book (tentatively titled "Sunny Days and Others") would include a few stories about Honey, and the previous cats as well, although Sunny would take up the majority of the book. Thank you so much for your thoughtful review.

I grew up with many dogs. Even though they were hunting dogs and not pets, my sisters and I spent many happy hours playing with them. I would love reading a book about Sunny. There are many things I would be interested in, some of which you've already written about.
How did you know Sunny would be a good candidate as a therapy dog?
How did Sunny train to become a therapy dog?
What are some of the reactions of patients to Sunny.
Has any patients ever rejected Sunny? Has he ever convinced a skeptical patient to accept cuddles?
Go for the book!!!

Thank you for such a lovely review! So very encouraging. I knew from Sunny's personality that he would be good at it, so when I saw that they were recruiting more dogs, I applied, and he passed his assessment with flying colours. I think I'll write a short story about his assessment and his subsequent training, as people are interested, and it would be a good addition. Reactions to Sunny are positive. One person, a very old lady, was enjoying patting him till she saw the beautiful Labrador, then she called out "I like THAT one! I want to see THAT one!" so Sunny and I visited someone else. Lol. That's about the biggest rejection he's had. Some patients are too ill or too tired so they decline. Yes, he has changed attitudes of some people as well, in favour of himself and the other dogs. Thanks so much for your interest.

I have not had many dogs in my life, but I did have a very special dog when I was young. His name was Prince. Indeed he fit his name. He was very royal like in his behavior. I think your stories about Sunny would come out very wonderful for people who are dog lovers and that they would truly enjoy it. I wish you the very best with all of your writing and I wish you the best with compiling the book. Patricia.

Wendy,
Hopefully there a three things you realize about me...
1- I'm a fan of yours because your writing is true to you and whatever your topic happens to be, you hook me in.
2- I have three dogs , do a book ranging around you, Sonny and any escapades will get me to read.
3- I forgot what #3 was... whatever it was is surely positive.
GO FOR IT.

Thank you John. I will include some other dog stories (and other pets stories) and am thinking of "Sunny Days and Others" for a title so that the "others" refers to sad stories, but also other pets.
Your review is a great encouragement - I am so thankful.

I guess you probably know what my opinion is, Wendy. You have a great idea, and the resulting book will be a fine remembrance of a special family member in years to come.

Thank you Paul. So very encouraging. Your special Sam was mentioned in some of Sunny's stories, so he'll be in it. When my previous dog died I made a photo book of memories of her - maybe you and your son would have enough photos to do likewise. I found it helpful in the healing process, sad but happy too.

This is a beautiful story expressing your love of your fur babies, as well as their love for you. Yes, I would be interested in that title, especially after reading a description of being from the dog's point of view. My only point of possible correction is in the beginning of the story where you capitalized the word "him" at the end of your sentence. Let me know when the book comes out and where to get it, please.

Thank you for picking up that error! I do hope it wasn't in my original. (Too late now!) Your review is very encouraging - thank you so much. I will certainly let you know.

I loved it and an analogy about Sunny would be perfect. I would enjoy reading it. I have loved all your stories about this amazing dog. Thank you for sharing them with us in the first place. My prayers are with you that this comes into being.

Thank you so much, Barbara! A lovely review. "Sunny Days and Others" would include a few stories of other pets (including Honey) and animals as well.

I think almost everyone loves dog stories and Sunny is very special dog aos I think a book such as you are suggesting is good one that will appeal to a lot of people. Good luck with the anthology as well.

Fate has a peculiar habit, sometimes, of giving us what we really want when we're actually distracted by other things. I think this is a great idea for a book. Your Sunny stories have always been an absolute delight to read, especially when you contrast his very responsible working life with his, sometimes, quite off-the-wall leisure activities, not to mention his aversion to water. Go for it, Wendy and good luck! Debbie

Thank you so much Debbie! Such a thoughtful and encouraging review. I am so encouraged by the extra star as well. Many thanks!
Yes, I do believe I'll have a go at this project. I particularly like your first sentence - so very true. I'll include stories of Honey and a few other pets, and I am thinking of "Sunny Days and Others" for a title (to include other pets, and stories other than "sunny" ones.)
