Straightforward, and clear - and true. Sometimes it is the beautiful things of nature which remind us that we too are created and loved by our Father, who meant us to live surrounded by beauty and productivity.

In all this gloom and doom flowers can truly gift us some serenity.
Flowers have the power to brighten our days.
We have over the ages assigned meaning to their many colours too.
But simply seeing a red rose bud and enjoying a waft of its delicate scent can make us smile.

Flowers are so beautiful, and your poem shines with feeling. I still have my first prom flowers lying in a book somewhere. (Since 1974).
