Sounds like Julia and Brian found what a healthy family is like through this kind professor. Great party atmosphere.
My only question would be that since both Daniel and Kimiko come from abroad, it seems pretty radical for their parents to allow coed living. But maybe the other countries have become more lax over the decades I've been in college.

Or perhaps they didn't tell their parents the sex of their roommates.
When I went to college, a friend of mine had a serious girlfriend the way Elise was my serious girlfriend, and the guys signed up as roommates and the girls did too in the same coed dorm. As soon as we all got there, we switched with each other. My mother-in-law told me years later we didn't fool anyone; they knew what we were doing. Kids!

Lol! Well, we went to pretty liberal colleges but still, foreign students and especially, one that went to Bible study like Daniel would be under expectations to be careful as hormones can take over.

I saw the Charlie Daniel's band in concert a few years back. He put on a very good concert. Thank you for sharing this post with us. I'm glad Brian is doing well, and things are working out for him. I do hope they continue to do so.

It's all going so well, Jim! I could be deceived into believing that Brian is on the way up. I like the genetic introduction because this research is obviously going to trigger more self-awareness in Brian. I might have to stop because I can't type fast enough to keep up with the music!! Thanks, Debbie. Yes, the genetic introduction was a brief intro to something that will play an important part later in the story. I hope the science will remain informative, understandable, and interesting. Please let me know if it's too much. There will be a lot of drama and comedy mixed in too, so it won't all be science.
"The Devil Went Down..." will recur a couple more times and will take on added significance as the story unfolds in Part 2.

We'll be getting to the meat of it now with the invention of a new drug to kill pain. We'll be working our way back to the events in the Prologue and then what happens after that. Lots of ground still to cover, and it will move faster than Part 1.

So, 72% complete ... that sounds like all that is left is sewing in the ends (knitting talk). Can't wait to get into the last bit of it.

28% to go, but the pace gets pretty relentless. Lots of ups and downs and emotions involved. Some science thrown in too as we get into the invention of the drug. Hope you won't mind that. Let me know if it gets too technical.
