This gives an ethereal feel of love. I am not sure if this is real person or an idealized person that the narrator is waiting to meet someday to make her love complete. Best wishes in the contest!

This one is a little different, Melissa. Very interesting picture, also. Kind of a funky meter, but the single rhyme in the first three stanzas make it work. Good luck in the contest.

I love how you use nature, like the wind and the sea, to reflect the emotions of searching for and yearning to be with someone. The imagery of ships sailing toward each other, guided by divine forces, gives it such a peaceful yet powerful feeling. It feels like a promise of love, where the anticipation of finding that person makes the moment even more special. The repetition of "whispering hope" really brings out that sense of quiet, enduring faith that love will bring you together.

I really like free verse though will admit I find it difficult to write, to me these words tell of a loss and longing, I guess that is the beauty of this poem, it asks the reader to feel, very well written****kahpot

I love the desolate, imploring vibe of this poem. Such a deep hunger, mixed with a hope that probably isn't all that realistic. Very cool picture you found. It's a perfect complement for these haunting words you've penned. I bet this will do well in the contest! xoxox

Never apologize for being "late." I never give that a moment's thought and don't want you to, either. xoxo

I like your use of the sea theme throughout. Your poem tells a complete love story, beginning with the search, finding each other, the promises, and the two lives joined. I like the repetition of the whispering hope also. Best wishes in the contest. Nicely done! Carol
