I enjoy all your stories and always have, and this is certainly right up there with the best of them. And wouldn't you know it would end with a touching song from one of my favorite holiday singers ever.
Thanks for sharing another fine story!

Sorry I am so far behind in answering and thanking everyone for their kindness and enjoyment with the story. Three little girls (well not so little anymore) kept me very busy. I miss them already but thankfully I will surprise them for Christmas. Appreciate your time and thoughts as always.

This entire journey was an exhilarating adventure of mystery, murder, suspense, love, and ghostly antics. You should be extremely proud of yourself for your determination, creativity, and resilience.
You have provided your readers with an exceptional novel filled with loveable, relatable, and realistic characters. Thank you for an entertaining journey.
As far as I'm concerned, you have already won with a remarkable novel.

Thank you so much, Lorraine. I know you have been with me every step of the way and I appreciate it so much. My mind is already spinning, ready to send Eleanor on another trip. LOL

Well done dear girl, your single minded determination Brought this great story to a conclusion, and though all seemed impossible, you tied all the strands together, when I read about that beautiful little girl of Donatelli's and Jenna's , I thought of that same song of Johnny Mathis, somehow gave purpose to the story, I remember my elder child's birth, I immediately thought of her birth and the miracle it was, it was the same for the younger, but one always remembers the miracle of the first born, as Jesus was God's, beautifully done, blessings Roy
Typo : the same without you (two) too?

I answered this and wrote you a long and gracious thank you and then it was gone...so here I am again. LOL I am so appreciative of your thoughts on my story and for continuing to follow it from start to finish. Johnny Mathis was my very first choice when I thought of a song in this chapter. It's very moving to me. Thank you so much for loving the story and for the six stars. I'm smiling big time!

Great song
Comment from Carol Clark2
Nice touch, wrapping the song through the dialogue. Thanks for including the song at the end; it's beautiful. The family gathering is moving; some have already passed, and some have been saved from death and are in various stages of recovery. Congratulations on writing the book in a month. Well done! Blessings. Carol

Wow, that was a quick response. Are you all caught up? Safe travels home later this week. Carol

Yes I am...I worked last night until there were only three left and I had to stop. This morning I answered those and then each one I've gotten today, I've answered. I don't ever want to be behind like that again. I've even read all my messages and replies. Hurrah!
-
You're amazing! I had about 50 replies one week, plus reviews, and I thought that was hard to keep up with. Your book is done, so maybe you can take a little break before the next project. Hugs!

I enjoyed reading this ending. It's great but my only thought is that the idea of ending it at Christmas seemed to be an afterthought since the idea of it even being in December or winter never was mentioned before.
Miriam smiled, "I've been alone for so long even my memories of Christmas (smiled.)

From the very beginning, I meant it to take place at Christmas (actually the first title was Silver Bells) and then the baby and Donatelli's survival turned it into Miracles. Somewhere I got so involved in writing the plot that I left out the details of Christmas. When I got to the final chapter, I realized what I had down, but today was the deadline. Maybe I can go back and add some Christmas cheer here and there.

You can probably get by with it for the contest, but before publishing I would be sure to add it.
-
Yes, I don't think it needs to be played up but at least the mention of holiday dressing or even music would tie it together.

Carol,
You did it my friend. You finished your last chapter in time for the contest. You wrapped it up nice and tight and left room for another book in the series. Bravo my friend.

Thanks so much. I am really proud of this one, and it was the best accomplishment to finish it in thirty days while on vacation. Thanks for always being so supportive.

That's what friends are for. I think we had an instant connection. I don't find that a lot. Like I say you are my sister from another mister.

And so happy to be there! Just posted another family quickie... now it's time to do a little housekeeping and hope for some reviews. Appreciate all the love and support, sister.

Even though I did not follow your book with each chapter because of my vision, I did listen to this final chapter and as always your writing is very good. I wish you the very best with your book and I just pray that God will honor it in such a way that it brings glory not only to him but it also Enhances your value with others. Patricia.

Thanks so much. I loved the song as well. I appreciate you stopping by to share in my pleasure of wrapping up a book (almost 63,000 words) in 30 days. It was an effort but fun.

Comment from Tim Margetts
Soppy, sentimental and just at it should be, seems like the lovin at the end of every decently corny Christmas movie and I loved it.
One question. I am sure I remember Miriam getting all glowey and passing on in an earlier chapter after she resolved her family issues.
So was a bit surprised to see her here.
Still, that's a me problem.
Great conclusion and good luck in the contest.

Your right...I forgot...Maybe I should quickly make a slight change with Eleanor saying she's glad she stayed a little while longer.
Thanks so much, Tim.
Smiles, Carol

Well that would be valid, after all, this is the ultimate final resolution, maybe ad a bit to the earlier chapter that she will see them all once more, or something like that.

This is the change I made.....Eleanor murmured, "With everything happening, I forgot we were in the Christmas season. I'm glad that you chose to stay a little longer. It will make Rebecca happy too."
Miriam smiled, "I've been alone for so long even my memories of Christmas had faded. It's nice to feel that special joy that comes with the holidays and to share it with family and special friends like you." What do you think? Thanks again!
-
Just had a light bulb moment.... With Miriam choosing to stay, I can use her in the next of the series.....She can tell Rebecca more about her family. Just a thought.

This works :) x
