Tis the season, as they say. And it looks like all across the country people are snowed in with freezing temperatures, needing that cup of cocoa and a fireplace. :-) Thanks for sharing.

You are welcome. Karen

Karen,
This is a great story. The words are very descriptive and warm. The picture is spot on and emanates the warmth to the reader. Leaving them to feel warm and cozy.
Well done my friend

Thanks so much, finding the right picture took longer than writing the poem. Karen

Karen,
Sometimes that is the case.

Gypsy wanted each poem to follow someone else. So, The first one is now "Baby it's cold outside: whic"Warmth, " and it will need it's own review. Sorry. Karen

Your well penned poem properly captures the gradual disappearance of the Autumn season as Winter creeps in, and the coldness of winter and snow keep families indoors, bonding. Well done, dear Karen.

We don't have much snow in Northern Florida, but today the cold kept me from feeding the birds. I'll probably go out later. These repetitions in Life are assuring, but I don't know how many more I'll see.

We have a group of people here that I rely one for good and interesting things. You pulled me in with your first "Hollywood" story. I thought it was a "true" piece . Karen

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Karen.
-Very good opening lines about autumn
changing into winter.
-You do a good job showing how
relating the changes to life and
how it repeats, like the cycle of seasons.
-Very good closing lines that show
how we can be soothed by "fires and good friends."
-Good transition from the outside to the inside.
-Very well done.

I had a hard time finding an Autumn to Winter picture.
Nothing was quite right until I saw this. It was just right. I think on this site, picture, poem or story, Framing color and font type and color all meld together to make the offering. It does make a difference. Thanks for the read and your sweet words. Karen

Sometimes it is hard to find the right picture, but eventually one will stand out. I agree with you about all of the elements you mentioned going together. It does make a difference. I am glad you enjoyed all of it. Have a great day and week ahead.

I'm glad you have written one of these for the book, I'm going to try one too. At least I have yours to go by. :))
You have left us with a lovely cosy feeling, toasty toes by the fire with a nice bowl of soup. What could be nicer in the cold days ahead. Well done, Karen, I enjoyed it lots. :)) Sandra xxx

You are sweet as peach pie. Now I'm hungry. Thanks for the read. A haiku and a couplet. One feeding off the other. You could write it to a child.
Autumn breezes flow
Jennifer gathers her leaves
She smiles in wonder
Pressing each one in her book
For Grandma's Christmas present.
I'm on a roll. I'll post it later. Karen
-
Yes, you must post that one, that was really fabulous! xxx

I just thought of how you write for children and It just came.
You inspired me. Karen

Lol! I'm going to try it later, it's fun, isn't it. Thanks for showing me your lovely one. 😊🥰xx

I sure hope you do. karen

I like this poem, particularly the last line. Winter was slow coming and didn't bring my plants in until two days but It is finally in the 20's and I hate being cold. The older I get the less I like winter.

Preaching to the choir. My body does not like cold. Cold is mean. It is fine for food but not people. Happy holidays. Thanks for the read. Karen

Definitely a cozy thought to warm our hearts and toes, Karen. As the song says, "Baby, it's cold outside" but we can always heat things up inside. LOL Have a great day~

We don't really get much in the way of snow here. A dusting to turn the roofs and streets white for a day or two at best.
Sitting on the South Coast with the gulf stream passing our shores keeps things wet and salty.
However, it does get cold.
I had to put my heating on for a couple of hours this week
