There is no more perfect condition than the one to run about naked in one's own house...lol! :) :) A wonderful chapter, my lady, and so very glad to hear the holidays were enjoyable for you! ;) Am enjoying slowly catching up here... Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

Barbara,

This is a great story. Poor Sami she doesn't sound like she wants anyone to protect her. However, I think Noah has other ideas. This story is well organized and pulls the reader in as if they are on the sidelines watching it.

Captivating final sentence. Absolutely captivating. Ha!

Okay. Lots of action. I would think the B&E guy will be tied up for a bit with his arrest.

Seems like trouble is coming. Just not sure from what direction!

You'd think Sami was a bit more contrite after experiencing three men trying to put a hole in her security door, but she might be asking for,too much, but then again, perhaps not, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy
Typo : Property manager skated it (was) as long as?

Glad you returned healthy and with great memories. Thanks for rewarding us with another very good chapter. Noah is really showing his love for Sami in many ways. Hope Sami's door will be repaired by the following chapter.

This was a most interesting read. A bit full of some errors. I have made a few suggestions for changes."It's not our fault and (we?)won't pay for the repairs."

manager okayed it [w]as long as it looks like the rest.
run around naked if I want(;) too."

That was a tense chapter, particularly with the men seen outside the apartment. I have a feeling that something bad is about to happen, I hope I'm wrong. I can't wait for the next chapter, Barbara. I really enjoyed it.

Hmm, everything fits with your writing style and moral approach.
Now, that may be an issue. Because, no normal man would not take Sami, who seems willing. Not without a very good reason, and so far, no reason is given (in universe) for his lack of action. I know it because of you, but You are not in the story. I recommend giving a plausible one.

notes:

"That won't be necessary. I have Jasper."
- She had Jasper before. Why would she say that?

A representative from the property management, Leon Cook joined them and studied the door. "You did a number on that door."
- This makes no sense. The break-in was obvious to any normal person. Weren't the police called? Where did they all suddenly go?

"I didn't do anything." (")The tension in Sami's voice rose, "I wasn't even home when this happened."
-remove

Mr. Cook studied his phone. "It'll probably take a few weeks before anything's resolved."
-A few weeks to repair or replace a door?

Noah stepped closer to Leon. "It's not safe for Sami to remain here without a functioning door. She needs someplace to stay until it's fixed."
- It wasn't safe when she had a working door. Why would he say this?
- And why not just move her to his place or mom's or...

"I have a one bedroom available, but not the dog."
- who is speaking here?

Their head turned when Jose called, "You two going to bring food or flirt with each other all morning?["]

You just had to squeeze in one more piece of excitement. Not a bad idea. I'm looking forward to see how you are going to tie all these loose ends together.

This is your structure and your paragraphing are excellent. Also, you have used very good punctuation which makes it an easy story to listen to. I wish you the very best with all of your writing and I wish you a very good weekend and a happy new year. Patricia.
