It's funny how kids get caught in the anxieties of adults. They can sense the unsettling atmosphere and that makes them nervous. And to kids, these things can seem magnified, and things that we would flip out over they take as a matter of course. estory

LOL Thank you for the support. I often look back at Andrew and his young family and wonder how I did it with four boys. God did it, not me. LOL

What a lovely story, Barbara,
I could just picture the whole thing as it unfolded. Of course, it helps that I have a 4-year-old, too. It was hilarious the way she told what happened. You son was funny the way he went about telling you the story.

Great job and thanks for sharing,
Rhonda

I loved your story! It felt like I was right there! Phoebe stealing the show with her shower mishap and snake adventures had me laughing. And I could picture the duck drama unfolding in the backyard. The way you told it all with such warmth was just perfect. Your storytelling is so natural and full of heart. Can't wait to hear what happens next Sunday!

What an eventful week in Andrew's home. Elly's excitement is understandable, what with a snake, duck and a flooded basement. And you had to get it unravel it all, step by step, I enjoyed reading this .I enjoy reading day to day things about people ..

This was an interesting post on the family trail. It is good how the family are keeping in touch even the youngest ones. Couldn't find any spags, this time around.

Oh my goodness Barbara, no wonder you were confused by this story, it sounds like utter chaos here. I am glad no one was harmed here with this unusual unfortunate accumulation of events! Tornadoes are so very dangerous and I am glad that it was a smile blockage that caused the flood. I didn't know you could buy a vacuum cleaner to soak up water! Ha ha ha, I have never had to use one, but I have had flooding from time to time. An eventful post Barbara, thank you for sharing it with us, kids can be funny when telling a story, I laughed at your Granddaughter's version of events, love Dolly x x x

Thank you for the support. Yes, there are vacuums that can soak up water. We have one. Have used it ourselves with plumbing issues.

This exciting story makes me overly happy that my kids and grand kids are all adults. My great grandkids are here, but are not my concern in the least. I say that, but if needed I would be the first person on the scene. I can't help myself.. Great story, very entertaining.

Phoebe turned on the shower AND ate a snake? She'll surely be in the doghouse. The cat I had a few years ago brought a snake to the doorway. I think she wanted me to have it as some kind of prize. She didn't try to eat. We were under tornado warnings today, but nothing came of it where I live, thank goodness. I see the makings of a TV sitcom with Andrew's family. Very enjoyable. judi

Oh this was hilarious! Thanks for sharing this real life drama, Barbara. I think your next book should include some children with dialogues like this as they are fresh in your mind. My youngest grand is 10 now and so I don't have material like this. Thanks for sharing!
