"It is by our cunning and continued manipulation of the sheeple in this world we live, knowing their need to be deceived, that we are able, on this day, to declare ourselves the true rulers of the world."
I love this sentence! Sheeple indeed. A very interesting and indeed scary story and I really hope your imagination is overactive. :-)
I didn't see any spelling and/or grammatical errors.
A very well written story.

Many are writing so much about this same subject, and some are very hard to read even though we know exactly what the writing is about. Yours is understanding, no errors and would not offer any revisions. wonderful.

Indeed, this is scary and horrific! And maybe a little too close to reality, leaves thereader to wonder if this is really the way. I, too, hope tht it's simply your imagination working overtime :)

Downright chilling. Disturbing, eye-opening, and chilling.
Unfortunately, I don't think your imagination is far from the truth, Zee. And very topical with the looming financial crisis. But of course, you hit on all the bases--politics, terrorism, religion, etc.
gathered together to divvy up the world. (don't really need 'together')
Calls were made, players played, and closed-door handshakes abound. (because you'd just used past and past perfect tense, I thought 'abound' might sound better in past tense)
Bernanke: Approve bailout or risk recession (I'd consider making this even stronger by replacing 'recession' with 'Depression')
Never heard 'sheeple' before. If that's your invention, it's classic.
Best piece I've read on here in quite awhile.

Hi Rheinlander.. thank you for the most generous 6 star review. I borrowed sheeple from a writer friend. I did not coin it. (Rats) Thank you for the suggestions. Are you from Wisconsin? Just curious by your name. Thanks again for the genersous review. ZeeZee

One might think these demonic type characters have been having their way in the financial markets of the world over the past few weeks. I do believe as the Scriptures say that Satan is the god of this world and that he has fallen angels with him. So he does go about like a roaring lion seeking who he can devour. To your story, I am glad it is fiction and it seems to be pretty good fiction.

Visions of CEOs and oil ministers from the evil empires comes to mind when reading this, all gathering around an ornate conference table to celebrate. Wonderful piece, maybe your best. The obscenely rich feasting for more.
Such a scary picture but too true I'm afraid.
high five?ing Maybe high-fiving? I don't know. Just caught my eye.

Oh, a clever, depressing write. I loved "the sheeple" Let me know if anyone should point that out and ask if you meant to say "people" or that "sheeple" isn't a word!! Good stuff Zeez.
