amada,
Wouldn't it be wonderful, if we could simply release all of our cares, and let them fly away like the kite, away and out of sight? Just to let go sounds so simple, but humans love the burdens piled upon them, until they are crushed. I like your idea better!

oh, amada:
I found this to be such a
cathartic poem as I have a
situation which I have been
struggling to just let go and
let God. Now I know to just
tie it on a kite tail and
release it. thanks for the
inspiration and good luck
in the contest. love, jan

One of the hardest things is trying to let go. Everyone
need a Karma kite. It would help improve our mental health
enormously.

Thank you for the great review. You are so right, we all need a Karma Kite, and a Velvet Morning.

Well done.
And I agree with you...the art is dazzling.
You say so much with the simple verse.
There are so many times in life when what we really
need to do is to "let my kite go".
Good luck in the contest.

Great imagery for the metaphor of letting go of whatever is a burder in life. Well done and, since it is a contest entry, I wish you well.

Great naani poem for the contest. I love the idea of the kite taking away one's burden - it is quite a poetic image and thougght. Reminds me when I was young, every year for my borthday, one of my birthday presents would always be a kite.... happy times. Good luck in the voting.

I very much like the metaphorical quality of the poem. I like that the last line is one word--it "packs a punch." Good imagery and nice juxtaposition of picture and poem.

Thank you Alvin. The last line, only one powerful word, it was just a last minute insight.

Nice little poem about kite flying, but even more about letting go with the problems in life. Mine go to the power upstairs. Nice entry for Naani contest. Jean

This is a great short poem whit deep meaning. Freedom makes us happy. Sometimes, when we hold so tight we squeeze feelings. Very well written!
Congratulations!
